Magdalena Bay

Magdalena Bay has become well known for its sardine run.  Local guides took us out in small skiffs looking for bait balls of sardine, mackerel or anchovies.  The bait balls attract striped marlin, dolphins, sea lions, dorado and rare encounters with whales!  We found a few static bait balls, but usually the bait was on the run and we had only moments to catch the action before the bait ball and its predators were out of sight.
